Another TAC bites the dust... + Happy B-day Jen! :3
Another MTAC has come and gone. I miss the people but not the hassle of the con. I'm not sure if I care enough to go to another TAC. The staff (well just one guy on staff) was pretty pushy and it really isn't worth it, considering how easy it is to get Anime/Manga stuff outside of the dealer's room you pay to enter, to make it worth it to go to that con. When they were free it was cool but other than that it's blah. I guess if they had neat activities and if the guests were interesting but meeting voice actors doesn't have a whole lot of appeal anymore and the events aren't very exciting. Anyway, if my friends stop going to TACs, I will too. I'll pass if the only "draw" is seeing the massive number of immature con attendees. XD

Having said all that, I did have fun hanging out with people. I got to know some people a little better, which was nice. My costumes were all no effort this time around. I wore a costume I bought on Saturday from another Cosplayer (I Cosplayed Celia from Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life). I bought that costume at the end of October right after I had played the game for a bit. It's one of those long, life based RPGs which I guess has appeal for some crowds. I didn't know very much about the series but the graphics on the game box were cute and it was cheap at Cosco so I bought it. I got sick of the game after about 15 hours though. You play as a farmer who has to take care of his farm (and all of the aspects surrounding that). Eventually you get married and I Cosplayed one of the characters you can get married to. In my game the second I got married and found that I had a kid, I got bored of the game. My wife (Celia) wanted me to fill up the fridge so she could make dinner for now on and I was too lazy to try to find food. XD I guess I'm a deadbeat dad.

Anyhow, wearing that costume was weird because the few people that did recognize me seemed to be quite obsessed with the game. I'll leave it at that. (>.<);; My wig was shedding like a cat. Do not buy from handmadewigs on eBay. I actually bought two wigs from them. The crappy shedding brown wig I had for Celia (which I actually bought back in October but I didn't realize how bad it was at the time) and also my first Ashley wig. My Ashley wig wasn't that bad in terms of shedding but it came to me with a weird wave in one part of the wig which wouldn't come out until I accidentally melted part of it by pouring really hot water on it. (~_~);; At least now I know better. My other costume was casual Touya. Shinshi was fun on Sunday. Touya was probably the easiest costume I've ever done. XD

I did spend money in the dealer's room even if I did complain that it's not worth it to pay to shop. XD I'm going to actually read Shinshi Doumei Cross so I bought the first couple of volumes of the Manga. I copied Ren and bought a FF necklace because I've never seen the necklace in person before but I have seen it online and was intrigued enough to want to buy it. I also bought a Link plushie because it was cute and I've wanted one since Ohayocon. They cost more than I had hoped to pay though. I guess I should shut up since it was the official Japanese version and not a knock off. (^^);;

I'm sad I didn't get to go home with everyone on Sunday. I think Kristin and I are little too attached at the hip (we've been friends since grade 3 so I just automatically sit with her without even thinking about it). We should have split up and sat at the other table at dinner so we could have had company on the way home. (>.<);; I hope I see people again before AN. (;_;)

Anyway, the social aspect of con was good. We'll see if I bother with another TAC. AN sounds exciting. I really need to start my costumes but I should be worrying about getting through uni first. Just one more month to go! :3 I'm excited and scared (especially since I have a lot of assignments left to go).

Con wise, if I'm working and can accommodate it, I'm so onboard for Youmacon. :D I need a good con to makeup for the crappiness of MTAC. XD
